Origami Tanteidan 8th Convention Book (2002), 256 pages, 48 models, Japanese, ISBN: none.
| Model Name | Creator | # of Steps | Info |
| Porcupine | YAMADA Katsuhisa | 40 | |
| Burning Anteater | MIYAMOTO Shintaro | 32 | not sure why this one is burning - something cultural, maybe?! |
| Panther | HOJYO Takashi | 16 | simple mask |
| Cat | MIYAJIMA Noboru | 92 | |
| Cobra | IKEDA Hiroki | 66 | |
| Sheep | MAEKAWA Jun | 43 | cute; doesn't look like a typical wooly Central European sheep to me, but I'm sure there's lots of different sheep out there;-) |
| Hedgehog | NAKAGAWA Kouji | 108 | very interesting textured back |
| Lion | NISHIKAWA Seiji | 66 | I'm not too excited... comes out pretty "flat"... |
| Tiger | KOMATSU Hideo | 240 | very cool when folded right... The body came out okay, but I didn't like the way the head came out on my first try - and after 240 steps, that doesn't make me very happy;-) Then again, the head didn't look all that great on any of the photos I've seen of this model - except for the photo of the model folded by KOMATSU himself... So, I guess it must be possible to make it look good, but it doesn't seem easy:-) Maybe given another LARGE sheet of yellow and black tissue foil, I'll try again some day, but right now, there's lots of other models I want to fold. (BTW, KOMATSU is still my favorite designer, I just didn't think this particular model was really worth it... then again, I'm probably just not good enough a folder...) |
| Sunfish | KINOSHITA Go | 49 | |
| Orca | KAMIYA Satoshi | 96 | very cool |
| Japanese Horned Beetle | YAMADA Katsuhisa | 44 | starts from a bird base |

| Apatosaurus | KIMURA Tetsuo | 36 | |
| Spinosaurus | TAKAI Hiroaki | 61 | |
| Seismosaurus | TAKAI Hiroaki | 72 | I'm not terribly excited about this one... |
| Coelophysis | KAMIYA Satoshi | 82 | |
| Hippogriff | NAKAI Tsutomu | 123 | looks very cool (though the photo isn't the best) |
| Pegasus | SASADE Shinji | 46 | more like a traditional crane with legs |
| Iso-Area Cube (Square) | IKEGAMI Ushio | crease pattern | |
| Iso-Area Cube (Rectangle) | IKEGAMI Ushio | crease pattern; includes instructions (10 steps) for finding a particular landmark; not sure why it says rectangle, it's from a square like the previous model... | |
| Iso-Area Octahedron | IKEGAMI Ushio | crease pattern; from a hexagon | |
| Cubic Flasher | IKEGAMI Ushio | crease pattern; inspired by Jeremy Shafer's and Chris Palmer's flashers; three rotation axes | |
| Edge's Skeleton | FUJIMOTO Shuzo | 14 | modules for an edge model of a geometric solid; involves cutting |
| Check Star | KAWAMURA Miyuki | modules for several geometric solids; involves cutting | |
| Celes | KAWAMURA Miyuki | modules from long rectangles (1x5 and up) | |
| Star Wave | HATORI Koshiro | crease pattern; this should be relatively easy (not like I could do it, but then I'm really hopeless at CPs;-) ) | |
| NOA-chan Reading the Paper | NAKAJIMA Susumu | 5 + 5 + 5 + 7 + 3 (+ 9 + 6) | from three squares (for legs and arms), and one rectangle each for the head (either a woman's or a man's head) and newspaper; also instructions for a sofa (from a square) and a chair (from a rectangle) for the reader to sit on |
| Special Car | AOKI Ryo | 31 | the finished model is shown from several angles |

| Tefu Tefu | YAMASHITA Akira | 13 | from a 1x2 rectangle |
| Rabbit Box | NAKAMURA Kenta | 53 | |
| Ran Ran's Hat | KITTAKA Mihoko | 13 | from a hexagon |
| Agrostemma githago | TANAKA Toshinori | blooms are 3D, so not a typical Shikishi type flower; complete with blooms, buds, stems and leaves | |
| Cyclamen | MIYAMOTO Mariko | blooms, buds, leaves and stems; quite a bit of cutting | |
| Kabuto (Samurai Helmet) | KASUMI Seishi | 66 | plus instructions (16 steps) for a matching stand |
| Hana Midoh (Sweet Shower House for Celebration Buddha Just Born) | KINOSHITA Ichiro | 13 + 26 + 26 + 26 + assembly | from six squares of different sizes |
| Scorpion Varileg | Robert J. Lang | 104 | you can either find the reference points by folding or by measuring at step 15 (looks like RJL has started doing this with all his new diagrams); also includes a crease pattern |
| Dragon in Flight (Version 2.5) | Charles Esseltine | 75 | |
| Simple Alphabet | Jeannine Mosely | really simple and really clever (a maximum of six steps per letter) | |

| Jack in the Box | Marc Kirschenbaum | 75 | |
| Capella | Péter Budai | from six units (involving a LOT of folding, including fun stuff like closed unsinks, so not your typical modular) | |
| Sprinkler Module: Sprinkler, Sprinkler Rotating Ring, Sprinkler Sphere, Sprinkler + Rotating Ring | Paula Versnick | the module also makes several other models, a number of which are listed | |
| Universal Vertex Module | Ravi Apte | includes detailed instructions on making many models | |
| Flower Tower | Chris K. Palmer | crease patterns for four different models from different starting shapes |
