If you've ever wanted to find diagrams for this adorable little devil, this page is for you.
The only publication currently in print that contains diagrams for Maekawa's Devil is Origami Tanteidan Newsletter #56. (I folded the model in the photo from those diagrams.) In order to obtain this issue, you will need to order Origami Tanteidan Newsletters Volume 10 from JOAS. It will cost you $40 for 6 issues and is well worth it, IMHO. Check my booklist for the contents of those newsletters.
The most well-known source for those diagrams
(not the same ones as in Origami Tanteidan Newsletter #56, see above) is
Viva! Origami, by KASAHARA Kunihiko and MAEKAWA Jun, and has been out of
print for a while now. Every once in a while, a copy shows up on auctions,
but the price tends to go up fast.
You might be able to get this book through an inter-library loan (I know you
can ILL it in Germany - the University of Trier has a copy.)
Diagrams (yet another version) can also be found in Origami Tanteidan Convention Book #1, which - you guessed it - is also out of print. Unless you happen to know someone who has this book, it seems impossible to get hold of a copy.
I've only seen the diagrams in Origami Tanteidan Newsletter and Viva!, and I would highly recommend using those in the Newsletter, if at all possible. They are a lot easier to follow - it seems to me that there are no really difficult folds involved, like I said, it's "just" pretty lenghty... Plus, the Newsletter diagrams show exactly how to fold every detail, which isn't the case with the Viva! diagrams.
Asking me for a copy of the diagrams is NOT an option.
