Origami Japanese

I've now revamped my Origami Japanese section. Originally, I was providing the parts in Japanese script as image files in .gif format only because anyone with a standard internet browser should be able to display .gif files, while most PCs are unable to display Japanese characters.

However, I heard over and over again how people wished the page was easier to print, their problems stemming no doubt largely from the colors I chose for my website. Since I didn't want to change the colors just for the Origami Japanese section, and I don't have the time to change the color scheme for the entire website, I decided to make a page that's a duplicate of the original Origami Japanese page, except that it uses Japanese characters instead of .gif files. If your browser is Japanese enabled, you should be able to both display and print this new page without problems.

At the same time, I also added a number of new words to the page. I hope you find them helpful! I also added a few important names to help you figure out who created certain models.

HOWEVER, this is where YOU come in!!! I don't want to keep up the .gif version if no one's using it. Obviously, it's a lot easier for me to just directly type in Japanese characters. Plus, I seem to have lost the program that gave me the prettier font I was using for the .gif files, and I think the font I'm using now is pretty ugly... What I need to know is the following: Are you still using the .gif version of the Origami Japanese page, even though there's now a new version of the page? Why is that? Is it because your computer isn't Japanese enabled? Is your PC Japanese enabled but you're still having trouble displaying and/or printing the new page? Is there some other reason I haven't thought of yet? If you're now using the new page and could do without the .gif files, please let me know as well! Send me an email at tina@origamiweb.com, and be sure to tell me WHY you think I should/shouldn't keep the .gif files. Thank you!
